What’s the Role: Support Worker (Male Only)
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Hollylodge - Co. Monaghan
Praxis Care Hollylodge provides bespoke residential care to one individual we care for with a diagnosis of moderate Intellectual disability, and Behaviors that challenge. In Hollylodge we strive to ensure that this service is tailored to the individuals needs with a person centered approach. The Resident has a dedicated key working team who are there to support the resident in achieving his goals, dreams and aspirations. Resident rights and choice are promoted within the scheme with the resident actively involved in the home and community. Staff are visitors in the resident’s home and therefore must practice the values of dignity and respect at all times. Staff are provided with all mandatory training along with scheme specific training to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skill base required to support the resident.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full Time contracts available
€30,288.48 - €42,033.79 per annum
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €108 per night applies*
